NSW: Cars confiscated after Sydney street race: Police
SYDNEY, Aug 31 AAP - Two Sydney men have had their cars confiscated after they were
allegedly caught street racing at speeds of 136km/h, nearly double the speed limit.
Just before 12am (AEST) last night, police on patrol noticed a Ford Falcon and a Mitsubishi
Lancer racing along King Georges Road at Roselands.
Officers alleged the cars reached speeds of 136km/h in the 70km/h zone before pulling them over.
Both cars were confiscated and the drivers, aged 30 and 33, were issued court attendance
notices for street racing and exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
